So Wand can fight again and has 1 fight left on his UFC contract.

He is almost 39. As a massive fan Im also a realist about what he can get done. His fights with Franklin showed where he is. A drop off in speed has mean his less than perfect striking has been a real liability.

Wands punching style isnt great, that chin is always in the air and those hooks are what we refer to him belfast as "swingers" wild looking. They are predictable and leave him open

Maldonado is the level he will likely fight at, Scrolling up and down the rankings Id worry about what OSP or above would do to him now. I think Maldonado being a natural 185er would mean Wand wouldnt have to cut (which I dont think he wants to be doing again) I think it would be a massive PPV in brazil but would you see UFC giving him a winable fight as his last one?

How long can they keep him inactive before his contract can be scrapped?
 
Don't know, but if they aren't going to give him a fight they should just let him go and stop acting like an angry ex-girlfriend.
 
He's not free to fight, a rehearing has been ordered and it seems fair from clear what kind of punishment he might get from it.
 
Just one? Source? If so then damn that's kinda petty of the UFC. No wonder he's been so pissed at them. They were definitely playing hardball with him.

Speaking of Wanderlei's opponent, have the Sonnens had that baby yet? Feels like it should have happened by now.
 
Sherdoggers are so dumb. They think wand won that even though this lawyers are talking about a appeal

he's not free to fight. The court ordered a re-hearing. All this means is he's going to be banned for something like 5 years instead of lifetime. If he appeals again and the court also overturns that punishment then he'll be banned for 3 years, so on and so forth. You cant win going up against govt rubes.
 
Hendo or Fabio IMO I don't think the UFC will let Wand fight unless he re signs, which won't happen.

Bans in MMA have generally been a year, Just skimming over this,

The comission got told they were out of line with the life time ban. A year has already been served. Sonnen got 2 years but he was a multiple time cheat.

I dont know if Wand was on steroids or something minor like he claims but he has never tested positive before, I dont doubt he does banned substances outside testing and thats why he is against them doing out of competition testing at all but whatever substance he was on its a 1st time offence, they have always got a 1 year ban.

Say running away is being made out as worse, whats the worst an extra year? come back and act smart if he ends up getting more than that.

I'm really split on this. Half of me wants to see Wand get a fun final fight, the other half wants to see the UFC get all bitter and put him against a HW
