So at least once a week I eat some kind of pizza. Don't hate, I've actually managed to lose about 30 lbs doing this. Walmart's Great Value supreme rising crust is my go to when going with a frozen pie (the Kroger's brand is just as good).

During the midsts of The Rona, I remember seeing a report about pepperoni prices going up. I wondered if this would affect my beloved za.

Well, it sure as fuck did. It's not even close to the same. There's now a one inch ring around the outside with no cheese or toppings. Less pepperoni and sausage. Less cheese. They've compensated by adding a shit load of sauce.

It's pretty bad now. I understand there's less pepperoni now, but just keep the pizza the same and raise the price. I guess I brought this upon myself for shopping there. Life's a bitch and then you die. :(

Wild Mike's is my favorite frozen pizza.

The packaging makes you think you're eating healthy, too!

I miss the old school lunch pizzas that were little flat rectangles. You could roll them up into a pizza burrito if you wanted to. Those things were awesome. Wish I knew where to buy pizzas like that.

Ellio's is the closest thing you can get.

Normally I don’t like it when people misuse tags. But the fact that a frozen pizza thread is tagged as “relationship” is actually hilarious

lol @ categorized as relationship

They must've outsourced it to be made in Italy

I was in the 7th grade when our school lunch program got the fiesta pizza. It was such a radical advancement emphasized by it's hexagonal form. Tex-mex meets pizza? I haven't come across anything that was so groundbreaking in school cafeterias. It was fusion way before Food Network made us think it was a new concept. Also, they were served on Wednesdays. What a moral booster, to get you past that mid-week!

I have to say, the barchetta (that's what our school lunch program called the individual pizzas), that replaced the institutional rectangle styled, was an insanely better offering. This was three years after the fiesta launch. Better crust. Better cheese. Better everything.

However, the mold had already been shattered by the fiesta pizza. After a handful of Fridays, the thrill was gone. The older students that grew up on the O.G. rectangles, wanted them back. Something that should have entered the cafeteria with heraldry, and ruled for ages, lost to timing and nostalgia.
