I think it's time for an Asian superstar in MMA.

Superstars don't have to have a north cut physique.

Superstars don't have to rouse the fans.

Superstars don't have to con the media.

Nor do superstars have to talk or walk the Brock.

Given the low success of many Asian fighters in MMA for the past while, I think it's time a highly skilled, highly entertaining fighter emerges from the Far East.

Part of this is wishful thinking but part of me is also expecting there to be a dark horse in the gym right this moment waiting to breakthrough.

Do you expect an Asian superstar in the next few years in the UFC?

I would love saku 2.0

some brave fighter with iron balls and incredible grappling

Who cares what race or ethnicity... just give me more superb athletes of any flavor, gender or size.

Cung, Machida, Saku, Gomi, The Sex all had their time.

I'm talking about a new up and comer to shatter the stereotype of always betting against the Asian fighter.

Someone with fearsome skills and a presence in the media and possibly adored like GSP.

China is 1.4 bill. India 1.3 bill. They don't have a single MMA star.

Fedor dusted that poor Indian guy recently, and he was the elite of Indian fighting sports.

You will have to wait many years. Japan is the only hope, and they don't seem to produce great talent lately.

Weaboos have been waiting for this ever since PRIDE folded.

Well over five years.

doo hoo choi

something like that

Akiyama was never a top guy and neither was Cung Le.
