I guess Dana was asked earlier in the week if tonight's main event would serve as a title shot eliminator of sorts, and he answered yes. A little odd to me, because if Dom had won, that'd be his 3rd title fight in 4 fights - not sure if that's warranted. But no matter.....
I suppose if Jiri wants to wait to fight the winner of Glover/Jan, the opportunity is there for him. I'd like to see him fight before then anyway, even if it's "risky". He's too fun to watch to have him sit out say 9+ months.

Jiri and Rakic are both at the doorstep of a title shot, I kind of don’t want them to fight before that though in case one of them does grab the belt

If Jiri is wants to wait, he’s earned his shot in my eyes. If not, Rakic fight makes since. If he waits, do Rakic vs. Ankalaev for next shot after Jiri. But no way should Rakic leapfrog Jiri, he’s coming off some seriously unimpressive performances.

I'd say he probably can sit out until then if he knows he's got a title shot plus would give the option of his being a potential stand in should Jan or Glover drop out. Jan/Jiri could be a main event in Poland as well I'd guess so the UFC could maybe wait on that until they can run events there?
If Jan/Glover arent ready to fight in early 2022 then maybe interim title shot against Rakic?

But seriously guys, most casuals would have forgotten by next year. You can't reward inactivity like that. What if Ankalaev goes on a tear and surpasses his prowess, then what? Does Ankalaev get ignored and forced to wait? Jiri vs rakic for Ankalaev for me. None of this bullshit bruh.
