Wait, did anyone point out that Ricci is a 145 pounder?

Didn't realize that... and he made it all the way to the welterweight finals of TUF 16

I heard he was going to drop to LW but didn't hear that he was FW.

Colton Smith is your TUF 16 winner. Dominant 30-27 win. Solid. I expect Ricci to stick around but at his natural weight class, 145.

Losing to Pat Curran doesn't make you a featherweight.

If anything it shows you how bad the talent was for TUF 16!

Ricci never fought at 145. Ariel is a dope.

Ariel corrected himself later on. He meant 155.

He then corrected himself and said 155

DAMN, too slow.

For future reference TS, if you've thought about it, there's probably several Sherdog threads about it.

And Colton didn't look like Rory out there. I'm sure he could easily make 155 too.

I think he will do good at LW. He has good height and reach, plus he is with a top camp. I think a fight against a striker would be a good first match at LW in the UFC for him and the fans.

So Ricci and Colton went to the finals as 155 pound fighters in the welterweight TUF show. Wow, if they dominated the show against welterweights just imagine what they will do in the UFC at 155! Watch out Bendo, Pettis, Melendez etc, the new breed of fighters are coming for you!

Can't tell if this is mockery, but it's not uncommon at all for tuf fighters to fight above their weightclass to get in the show. Look at Kos, Florian, Rashad, and Bisping.

Been said many times that Colton was a 155 and Ricci was a 145, but this is very typical on TUF guys will fight at any weight to get on the show.
Leben destroys Swick at 185 they come out with TUF 1 and tell Swick they need a LHW, he does show at LHW now a WW
Just at quick glance over half the winners have dropped a weight class

Danzig, Sadollah, Joe Daddy, Matt Brown, G-Sot, Manny. The list goes on. Tons of guys fight above their natural weight class on TUF. I'd imagine it'd be easier to just fight a weight class above considering that these guys have to continually make weight for several weeks.

There's no reason a 6 foot figther should be fighting at 145. That's just ridiculous. 155 is already pushing it for that height.

You know that in the first TUF finale Diego and Kenny fought at 185. Diego went to WW and Florian went to LW...
