And jon jones took 3 weeks?

Thats pretty inconsistent if you ask me. How come a test prior to fight night takes longer than one that is basically after the fight?!

That makes no sense. By the way, we need a jeff novitzky emoji too damn it!

Maybe they were a little busy with the US Olympic trials candidates and the lab that was processing JJ sample was backed up. Not everything is a C O N.... spricy!

The mass spectrometer already went crazy as soon as they brought Bork's urine into the room.
With Jones they had to do some actual testing.

Yeah aside from the first post, they had 4 stacked fight cards in a span of 1 week to sort through. That's nearly 100 fighters to be tested/randomly tested/processed in the UFC alone from July 6th-July 13th.

Now we have a huge gap between any UFCs as well as any USADA regulated sports- so theres much more time to handle this stuff

A legitimate organization would've been prepared.

Im not suggesting that there is a conspiracy. Just fucked up.

This sounds way more reasonable. However, thats not the excuse dana went with it.
He said the reason was because "these guys test and re-test many times once they get a positive to make sure."

So.... im not really buying it

whatever they say, they totally could've had the test results for Lesnar earlier. note how they were probably already scheduled to only get Lesnar's stuff after the fight. it's a bunch of bull so they wouldn't be hurt by Lesnar being a roided freak.

That's a good explanation for testing Doug Doodleson on the prelims a little bit late, not one of the main attractions.

They probably expedited Brocks in competition test after his other one tested positive.

Not every legitimate company executes with Fed Ex level performance.

Unless hard SLAs are set it's not uncommon for businesses to develop a bit of a backlog during major activity surges. Typically holidays, but in this case the International Fight Week and other things could absolutely back a lab up for a few days.

Q2 2016
1853 Athletes Selected
2684 Total Tests

vs.
Q1 2016
1506 Athletes Selected
2081 Total Tests

It's not like they can call the temp agency for staffing. When there is backlog, there is backlog.

Main eventers need to be priority. They managed to get Jones in and some others as well, I'm sure. But Brock happened to be in the group that slipped by? Even if that's 100% what happened, I still say it's bushleague.

Far as I know the labs don't even know who the samples belong too. Every thing is numbered so as not to have any bias or opportunities for tainting samples.

Except the tests are supposed to be anonymous. Treating certain samples differently would be anything but anonymous.

Come on, now.

by priority i suppose he means testing earlier or expediting? not naming the samples

Main eventers need to be priority.

The samples are anonymous and everyone is given exactly the same treatment. USADA does testing for a ton of different stuff and doesn't give a shit about the UFC or any main eventers. Take your number, join the queue, it's done when it's done.

Main Eventers? Like Micheal Phelps? Tests are most likely FIFO (first in, first out) though I would guess that the olympic team takes priority. It's a somewhat random test with a random time to get the results back. It's an ongoing program to catch people over time.
