Well worth a read:

"We would also point out that WADA is not a testing agency,” added Durand, dispelling any notion of WADA conducting drug tests within ONE Championship or any other organization.

Durand noted that it is possible ONE Championship decided to base their purported drug-testing program after WADA’s standards, but as the promotion has yet to become a signatory, WADA has no idea whether or not its guidelines are being adhered to.

“Some non-signatory sports organizations model their anti-doping rules and testing programs on the model rules and guidelines and International Standards that WADA makes publicly available to our stakeholders on our website. It may be that ONE Championship have decided to model their program based on these documents, but as they are not Code Signatories and do not fall under our remit, we cannot be certain of their rules or program and if either are (sic) WADA compliant,” wrote Durand."

Cliffs:

Anyone can use a "wada" (accredited) lab to have samples analysed, but, that doesnt mean they are adhering to WADA standards for collection and reporting for the whole process.

I can take your sample to a WADA accredited lab, but if the only person who gets given the results is me, and if im also in charge of sanctioning and results management, then its totally up to me what I make public and what I dont.

Basically WADA officially distancing themselves from Chatri and co.

so in a nutshell

WADA: we dont work with ONE, UFC or anybody. We just have guidelines on our website

ONE is known for using payola, deceptive practices, all around shady business

Wow. I'm not surprised, but I'm still a little surprised.

ONE: "We're gonna begin following WADA drug testing standards at a later date, our athletes have been informed."

Incompetent MMA media months later: "Apparently, ONE isn't actually being officiated by WADA, they're just following their standards, and they haven't begun drug testing yet."

Retard fans who lie about watching the fights and just like trolling: "SEE? CHATRI'S FULL OF SHIT, UNLIKE ANY OTHER FIGHT PROMOTER!!! ONEFC JUST KEEPS LYING ABOUT EVERYTHING!!! QUIT SUPPORTING THIS FUCKSHIT PROMOTION FILLED WITH CANS!!!"

ONE should sue them for creating beef

WADA rep: ONE claim that they will do testing under our standards in our labs. We cannot confirm it, they might use our labs but then they might as well wipe their asses with the results.
Martin Nguyen: ONE doesn't test.

How does that change anything I said?

It brings additional legitimacy to the claim that Chatri is full of it.

Honestly, does steroid use really matter to you this much, or are you just looking for any reason to troll ONE?

Because ONE's been upfront about their lack of drug testing for at least 4 years now. Trying to spin this WADA thing-- when ONE literally admitted in the beginning they haven't implemented WADA standards yet, and WADA confirms it-- into an example of ONE being dishonest is just irrational.

but they arent even following their standards.

To follow "Wada standards" would involve using a third party collection agency (wada accredited) and then any positive tests being reported to a third party for sanctioning/results management and/or wada overseeing the sanctioning/results management

none of that is happening.

Chatri grabs a urine sample, takes it to a lab and they tell him if its positive. What he does with that information is up to him

And actually they began testing in 2018. What happened to the 3-5% of ONE fighters who tested positive? Did they get pulled from teh cards? Did they get fined? Did they get sanctioned? I Will tell you, NOTHING HAPPENED TO THEM :D

Chatri was throwing WADA's name around to try and give their anti doping program credibility. WADA are basically coming back and saying "hang on mate, we aint nothing to do with what you are doing, dont use our name"

I actually was looking to find out the truth. I even opened a pretty much free discussion about ONE, and you participated. Pity, I should've known you're a shill.

The very response of WADA rep took place because Chatri claimed he will do "WADA testing". That was pretty much as saying to him: Don't use our name for granted, we don't back you up on this and we want the world know it.
Chatri was the one who tried to spin: Tried to sell the "we'll begin WADA testing" claim, so people won't see that neither of any health and regulation related activities in his company aren't being governed by anyone.

And yes, steroids matter. Don't know what you're here for (besides getting paid by ONE), but I'm for clean and fair sport. Don't you?

"Following WADA standards" has a lot of room for interpretation, it doesn't fit into your narrow definition, so your argument is invalid from the start.

It's not too surprising the person who's an anti-steroid :eek::eek: has to call me a shill, assume I'm getting paid by ONE to post on Sherdog a few times a month (lol) and condescend from a false moral highground when their arguments fail.

Yeah, and WADA don't want to leave your boss any room for interpretation, and claim publicly: what he does is not related to us in any way,

Anti-steroid :eek::eek:? Wow, classy, man, classy.
You almost sound like a tough guy. Almost.

And the fact that you're a shill is clear from your licking-ONE-anus responses.
But you're right, you probably aren't getting paid. Since the job you're doing is extremely crappy. You get the opposite effect.

Way to hurt feelings.

actually no it doesnt.

There is a very specific document that details "WADA standards for test planning, collection, analysis and reporting"

There is very little room for interpretation

it requires

1) Collection by a wada recognised collecting agency and following standards for collection such as anonymity of samples, security of samples etc

2) Analysis by a wada accredited lab (ONE are doing this bit)

3) process for reporting of adverse findings which includes reporting to either a 3rd party for sanctioning or dual reporting to the testing body and WADA who can oversee to make sure adverse findings are followed up

4) Strict procedures for sanctioning and disciplinary action

"WADA standards" is literally a documented thing that is very strict and regimented

The fact that "following WADA standards" to you means "involving WADA in 100% of your drug tests, sending them to accredited WADA labs, waiting for WADA to send you the results back, and letting WADA dole out punishments for infractions" shows how much you proved my point.

"Following WADA standards" =/= "paying WADA"

If that's what it means, WADA's a scam.
