He landed the harder shots and looked like if the fight kept going he'd eventually win because Curtis wasn't doing damage and just gassing out. He was going to continue to eat uppercuts and knees going for takedowns if it went to round 6 7 8

Volkov would have gotten a TKO with more time....

It was a dominate performance by Blaydes regardless if it was boring.

Volkov got dominated for 25 minutes straight he didn't look good at all
It wasn't 25 mins straight

Volkov busted blades up good and got a takedown towards the end of the 4th and the 5th round was close and blades literally layed on him in the 5th it looked like he was asleep im not kidding and was just eating volkovs elbows and punches from the bottom

Yeah I agree. I think Volkov is a future champ. His cardio is fucking illegal, I thought Blaydes would easily have the better cardio.

Other than securing TDs, how exactly was this dominant?

Blaydes held him in place, but did nothing with it. Didn't try for subs, hardly landed any strikes other than a few GnP elbows early in the match, almost got KO'd by a kick going in for a TD.

Volkov took a nap for 5 rounds while Curtis napped on top of him.

Fans are probably asking why Herb Dean didn't stand them up more.. well its because Herb Dean was sleeping too

No, Volkov didn't look good at all. Couldn't stop the takedowns, did barely anything from the bottom and didn't do much on the feet either due to being on his back 90% of the fight.

Well Volkov showed that he has character, was patient most of the fight, has good conditioning for a HW, but when you spend 20+ minutes on the canvas against a superior grappler, hard to do anything worthwhile. They don't give you silver medals in mma, so this won't cut it. He needs to work on his grappling to have a shot later in his career.

I've never been impressed by Blaydes, when he meets a superior athlete or another top level fighter, he is going out.
