It was not close because Volk was competitive in 2 of 5 rounds.

It was clearly a difficult fight to score, which is why so many people are disagreeing about it. It involved a lot of conflicting data points (control time, significant strike counts, reversals, sub attempts, wobbles, knockdowns, fatigue, bruising, etc.), and any time that happens you’re going to see varying opinions since the scoring system sucks.

Takedowns that don't convert into anything, or get reversed (every position was reversed or escaped) should not be worth anything. Defensive wrestling is basically not scored at all, which is bullshit.
