With that said he was the fresher fighter at the end of the fight which means nothing in NA rules judging but in Pride it would have meant a lot.

Islam won more rounds but he looked defeated in the end and probably would have lost if there was another round.

Agreed here, but that's not how the judges see it. Unfortunately you can lay on someone and win. The rules should have been changed long ago.
