Do you mean Soviet Union? As I thought Russia was a single country. The only Russian territory I can think of that is overtly Muslim is Chechnya. I am confused as you are referring to Russia as it is made up of several distinct countries, when at last I checked it was just one big ass country, with bunch's of them splintering off independently after the fall of the SU.

Hoping you can clarify this, as beyond Chechnya, what else can they give up?
