I think Putin is the baddest-ass president/ex-president alive.

Has anyone miscellaneous info about political figure with regards to bad assness ?

Pierre Trudeau was legit judo black belt back when he was prime minister of Canada (he trained at the Takahashi dojo ... Phil Takahashi got a bronze in the world championships). But I don't think he was at Putin's level. Teddy Roosevelt did judo and catch wrestling - even had a mat area put into the White House.

Putin even wrote, or co-authored, a Judo book back in the day.

That's cool that a leader of a major country, what's not cool is his political policies/civil liberties abuses. Hello there Chechnya.

^^ Wow, that's pretty wild. That Korean politician pulled off a sweet tomoe nage and then attempted what looked like tai otoshi or harai goshi.

I kind of wonder how much of it was ghost written. Putin has very valid credentials as a very good judoka, but how does the leader of a major country like Russia find time to write a book?

Cool info. Has anyone read the Putin book. I cannot bring myself to buy it since i am guessing he was involved with the book in name only.
