All this talk about Gus these days... While I like his fighting style and his personality, he was 46:49 against JBJ. Whoever doesn't see that is very subjective/doesn't like JBJ/is delusional (FACT is that pretty much all professional MMA analysts gave W to JBJ).

Vitor was few seconds from breaking JBJ's arm. And yes... He destroyed 205 version of Rumble...

1. Vitor had an armbar that lasted 5 seconds. Other than that he was completely dominated the entire fight.

2. Rumbles liver failed the previous night due to a horrible cut to 185. Not to mention there was obvious collusion taking place in that fight.

Depending on your definition of closest, yes it could be Vitor. That armbar was the single worst position Jones has ever been in.

BUT. Gus gave Jones the tougher challenge. If Jones doesnt pull off that elbow with a minute left in the 4th round he loses the fight.

Both guys tested Jones in different ways

In order of closest to victory:

1-Hamill
2-Chael
3-Vitor
4-Gus
5-Machida
6-DC
7-Glover
8-Bonnar
9-Vera
10-Vlad
11-Rampage
12-Bader
13-O'Brien
14-Shogun

Suga didn't really fight, so I left that one out.

Well then that sucks for Rashad Evans, I actually would put him tied for 7th with Glover, both fights looked similar to me.

49-46 is blah

Just looked and Chris Lee gave a 10-8 round during Machida-Weidman..........

With the exception of the armbar, Vitor lost every round. It's like almost knocking out someone but being unable to finish them, then getting pounded on for the remainder of the right.
