People forget that he was still a beast before he got on the TRT. Just saying and I think he'll be fine even without it, but Weidman would wreck Beflort or TRT Belfort either way.

Non-TRT Belfort still beats Bisping and Rockhold.

Vitor is going to knock Weidman's head off into oblivion that is if he even survives Machida. Vitor is going to be champ and it will cause a shit storm on sherdog, just wait and watch.

    No he wasn't.

He was 1-4 in his last 5 fights at LHW. Struggled and was outstruck by a low tier fighter at Cage Rage. The only reason he looked like a beast is because he dropped to 185 and faced weaker competition.

But yeah, TRT had little to do with it.

he has nearly a 20 year fight career, and you like to bring out a rough patch from 2004-2006 (sisters kidnapping, stop trying to discredit him)

I know but the mohawk isn't and that is what the real source of his power is.

Coincidentally, he fought very good competition around that time.

Coincidentally as well, his streak of devastating KO's started as soon as he dropped to 185 (after struggling with a journeyman at 205).

rightttt considering he was 12-3 with 7 TKO/KO's before his rough patch (fighting HW's) I think you're off... his sister was kidnapped and he was coincidentally matched up with the best of the best, it was a rough patch in long career... get over it

He wasn't fighting top talent like he was around his "rough patch".

You don't know how much that incident affected his game. It's easy to throw it around as an excuse, but the truth is that he won the LHW belt right after his sister disappeared :icon_idea

He didn't look bad during his losses either, he was just outclassed by better fighters.

Watch his fight vs. James Zicik at Cage Rage. That was his last fight before his MW debut. Then watch his fights at Affliction. You will see a vast difference in his performances.

His problem wasn't his sister, or TRT, his problem was LHW.

    Tank? no
Wanderlei? no he was still an up-and-commer

He lost to Sakuraba, Liddell, Randy, and Herring (but was gifted a decision)

Then he beat Randy in a flukish way (after his sister disappeared :icon_idea), and lost the rematch (he had already lost to Randy before his sister's incident), but accordig to you, this time he lost because of his sister...:icon_conf

Then he lost to Tito, who was elite at the time (and he was doing great until Tito dropped him).

Overeem, who was a great fighter, and Hendo (while being on roids).

The truth is Vitor always lost to elite fighters, and was always inconsistent.

So he didn't have full training camps during any of his losses?

    Can you provide a source?

How did his game evolve? Tell me exactly what he does now that he didn't do before.

Tons of fighters change their training camps and they don't revive their careers like Vitor did. That's the same excuse used for A. Silva. His streak of devastating KO's started before joining the Blackzilians and before he was on TRT...and right when he dropped to MW. :icon_idea

    Can you exaplain this?

So now you're making an excuse about size, when Vitor competed at HW? :icon_lol:

You don't know if he would be competitive. He had a terrible record at LHW, and beating Hendo these days isn't a good indicator.
