I don't doubt the injury...I imagine all fighters have niggles and injuries.

All the more reason to keep your hands up.

According to this report by Combate, Vitor Belfort fought at UFC 224 with a serious knee injury.

In the first week of training camp in Canada, during a sparring session, Belfort kicked and ended up stretching his knee. The tests showed that the 41-year-old suffered a Grade II lesion in the left medial ligament, pushing him away for two weeks. After consultations with three doctors, who discouraged him to fight, the Brazilian decided to continue on, despite not being able to kick and do ground workouts throughout the camp.

There is no train in the world as strong as the Brazilian excuse train.

Not one single Brazilian has ever lost when they were not injured or sick. And if they lose to another Brazilian, they are both injured and sick.

Huge fan of both.

Hopefully we see old version of vitor as the bellator.

Clearly it hampered his ability to evade said kick.
So obviously it's the only reason he lost .

It's got more to do with his foot fetish. His natural instinct is always to kiss the incoming foot not dodge it, that split second hesitation did him in.

Big book of Brazilian excuses chapter 145

Yes yes Vitor, it was the injury. Keep on fighting, it is so nice to see you get KTFO and bet money against you.

Came into the fight with a sprained knee and left the fight with a sprained ego. Imagine being one of only two MMA fighters to lose by crane kick, except you got crane kicked twice.

Vitor needs to paint the fence or maybe wax, on wax off.

Would a good knee have prevented that foot smash KO to his face, NO!!!!!

Being able to kick and do ground work wasn't gonna save him there lol
