Wait were these company run karate lessons? The prospect of touching coworkers with the jab even in light/medium sparring sounds amazing. I don't think I'd miss a class, get serious with my road work, and I'd probably get my ass into a real gym just to make sure I was the best possible menace to the office I could be.

No not company run. I was just using the karate as an example. They had a whole list of activities and their point value. Basically it was the company trying tell u how to live ur life. If I want to smoke a pack a day and eat cheeseburgers then that's my business, No faceless company has the right to tell me other wise.
