I am in the market for some new sparing gloves and will be going with either Twins or Fairtex but I see they make ones with elastic wrist closures now so it is a case of slipping the glove on and off with no hook and loop system.

Seems like a good idea for training but has anyone actually used this style and If so what did you think? Did it off good wrist support?

Any thoughts on this would be most appreciated

i use elastic strap gloves for pad/bag sparing
with wraps.anything contact i use a full boxing glove bout 12oz/14oz.there just classed as bag gloves so wouldnt use them for anything else.best advise is always wrap
you hands then theres little risk of damage.

If the elastic stretches, the glove is fucked. I prefer Velcro.

Same here. When the gloves are new, you can really get the elastic band nice and tight around your wrist, a bit more than a leather strap would, but after repeated use it gets worn out and loose. Non-elastic hook-n-loop is better in the long run.

cool thanks guys for you input Velcro it is :)
