There comes a point in a fighters life when he should realize this sport isn't for him, so why keep trying? Is there a reason some of these fighters keep going regardless? Is it because they have a rare disease or mental problem with enjoying getting beat down? When should a fighter throw the towel in?

Is there anyone you would seriously add?

I found these on Sherdog, and some of them even have nicknames to compliment their records lol (this is not fighter bashing, it's about when a fighter should throw the towel in, and the reasons why)

ALL NAMES HAVE LINKS

Shawn Nolan - 6/46

Joseph "The Ho Bag" Bochenek - 0/10 (well the name is sorta catchy, right?)

Matt Anderson - 1/21 (and a video HERE, HERE and HERE)

Kenneth Allen - 1/34 (ouch :S)

Tim Willis - 0/18 (srsly?)

Scott "Lionheart" Belvins - 0/17 [VIDEO]

Do these guys have anybody in their corner? How do they train? Who supports them? :icon_cry2

Brandon Vera needs to hang it up.

How this dude still gets fights is shocking

damn shawn nolan, get it together. But seriously, why wouldnt you hang it up on 10th consecutive loss? lol

Don't believe the hype! Just believe what you see!

Shannon Ritch

Fight Record: 52-76

Never lost by decision! Holy hell!

Still have to give them props for going in the cage and fighting, but you're right they should give it up earlier to risk injuries later on with records like that

you would have to assume these guys just randomly take fights for the extra few hundred bucks every few months

Probably more just for the fight itself. You don't have to be good at something to love it.

they are probably getting paid to lose just to pad fighters records, it's been going on in the fight game forever.

Mike Dolche is probably one of the most successful fighters with a terrible record. Good diet program, bad record; 5-10.

Former UFC champion Maurice Smith ended his career with a 13/14 record :\

What ever happened to all the talk of his program being bullshit and bro science? Not that I necessarily agreed, just interesting that school of thought seems to have disappeared.

Shawn Nolan fought Bryan Robinson 4 times in a space of 5 months and lost everytime via TKO in 40 -48 seconds of round one .
