Nunes came across uber-annoying to me after the Honda fight. Very obnoxious. On the positive side (see vid at 2:35), her mullet has now morphed her into John Rambo:

Hoping Bullet takes that strap. A much more likable character, and tough as hell to boot. Their first fight was decent - Nunes started out strong, but Valentina was getting the better of her toward the end.


Whittaker / Yoel preview starts at around the 6:00 mark. Two of the biggest killers in the division. Should be a war for however long it lasts. SHOULD be the main event.

Shevchenko will loose. She is more skilled than Amanda everywhere but weight does a diffrence here. Shevchenko has no space to evolve because she is bassically perfect fighter.
*Trains since she was 5
*her mother is black belt Taekwondo
* bigger and heavier sister (multiple Muay thai champion) is her training partner
* her first pro fight was at age of 12
* trains judo since childhood ( black belt)
* just like her mother she's also Taekwondo black belt.
* Whole life of Muay Thai and kickboxing fights.


Amanda had another year in ATT so i/m sure she grew up as fighter..

I think Amanda probably has Bullet in trouble early. Maybe even stops her. But IF Valentina can survive the early onslaught, I think her CARDIO may be the deciding factor.

Nunes is crazy dangerous early, but tends to fade as the fight goes into the 3rd round.

Valentina has a lot of space to grow, did you not see her counter striking on point vs Holm, and takedown defense/grappling in general more improved against Pena? Nunes will gas, Shevchenko will beat her ass.

She has very little space to improve. I'm pretty sure there is not even a man in UFC near her age with SO MUCH experience as she has.
Nunes gonna bring 10 more pounds of muscles + lesbian strenght . Amanda had waaaaay more holes to fix in her game. WMMA is getting to the point where weight does matter the most.

MMA is about putting things together and figuring out what works and doesn't work. Valentina has a ton of experience in other combat sports but she's only been competing regularly in MMA for 2-3 years, before that it was 95% Muay Thai & kickboxing with an MMA fight thrown in there once every 2-3 years. She was training MMA but she wasn't competing often enough to really gain experience and learn things. She has all the skills but what she doesn't quite have yet is the most important part, and that's what I call the "MMA game", which is how to put effectively put all those skills & techniques to work in an MMA context. And that's why Valentina has a lot more room for improvement than you'd expect.
