(video) Rory MacDonald on moving to middleweight "I want to try and do it in 2016"

Might not be a bad idea. MW has some very interesting matchups right now but it's really really top heavy, has older talent and with few guys coming up.

It might actually work out. Hes about 6 feet so he wouldn't lose too much height over the bigger guys and he could add a lot of muscle which would help his wrestling

This makes no sense, he almost beat the champ who is getting older and the guys at MW are massive compared to WW.

Rory could be champion at WW in a year or two and dominate with his skill set, and I'm not even a fan of his.

Usually not a fan of move up, but for him it can work... dude got that kind of phisique where he can add a lot of muscle mass, if he want

Said that if he stay at WW he will be Champ at some point, at MW i don't know

Not a bad idea. Depending on how the welterweight title picture shakes up, it might be a while before he gets another crack at the belt. I'm not saying have him fight someone in the Top 5, but Bisping, Machida, or SweetSassyMousasi would be fun.

He can be champ at 170, but I don't see him beating the Weidman's and Jacare's at 185

I've seen Rory in person and he looks like a LHW. Wouldn't mind seeing it.

I dont like this idea at all, the MW's are big boys and pretty much LHWs for the most part. Rory would take that kind of power well. He's just fine at WW and with a few adjustments he can be champion.

Moving up in weight will prob be good for Rory, more power behind his punches would be a good thing. One of the main reasons he lost the Lawler fight, five shots from Rory = one Lawler straight right.
