that I think is his biggest advantage.

the bjj guy that was in my judo class for a little while, did not know a single turtle toppler.

Something interesting to keep in mind when observing Telles in action is that he keeps Jacare at his side at all times. He's not allowing Jacare to come around from behind. Also, he's not giving up points with this game. You can see him purposefully using his arm to keep Jacare's hooks out throughout.

hmm... out of curiosity, has anyone ever seen Josh Russell in action. He's supposedly got a wicked Turtle guard as well.
