Fought last night at a local event. I'm taking one more ammy fight before going pro. Just know, if I ever make it big, I'm gonna give sherdog some shout outs in my post fight interviewes lol but hope you enjoy the video. Only took me 2mins 11seconds.

Congrats on the win. If I were you, I would tell the family or friends to chill out with all the screaming. ;)

Nice work! Only two minutes, but it was all-out from the start. Intense!

great job! but your celebratory cage climb seemed laboured, you need to work on that aspect of the game.

Congrats AJ, what weight class you fight in? WW ? Nice groud work, I wanna see you stand up and do work on your next opponent if the moment presents itself that is. Good luck on going pro as well.

Thanks, man. I fight st 145, but this guy was an injury replacement so we fought at 155. He was a big, strong dude for sure. I actually wanted this to be a fight where I showed off my hands more, but as soon as he threw that kick, instinct took over and the rest is history.

I hear ya. Next time an opponent opens with one of those inside leg kicks, if you can read it before it's coming, lunge in with your most powerful punch combination. Mines happens to be a left hook into right straight into left uppercut. Worked for me plenty of times. Also, I'm currently at 149lbs, so I'm about your weight I walk around at my exact weight too. Im a natural FW, what do you walk around at? Do u cut weight to make 145? If so how much?

@MonstaAJ, I never fought ammy mma. Always wanted to. I was raised in a family of boxers so I primarily trained in the sweet science almost all my of my life. I was 18 and about to become a amateur Boxer when I had my first kid. That's what stopped all my aspirations. I had to get a job and it cut into my Boxing life tremendously. If I can pass some advice to you, it's if you can bruva wait to have kids. Having GF's is GREAT lol, just put the hat on bruv and don't fk up. I love my son, and I now dedicated my life to raising him and training him in the art of boxing, but an I wish I could've been on the path your on. I don't even know you and I'm proud of you and your accomplishments. Keep going bruv, never quit, one day you will become a big name God willing.

Dude that's awesome and means a lot. I hear you about the kid thing. I actually have a son that's 6 years old that I have custody of. I'm a recovering heroin addict, and have been clean for seven years. I got clean and wanted to start fighting because I loved watching it and always wanted to do it. So I switched one addiction to a good one with fighting. Shortly after starting, I found out I had a son from some chick who was still using so I got him and have had him this whole time. He loves coming to the gym with me tho and loves watching me fight so that makes it easier. Turning my life around is also why I have so much support at my fights. Sorry for the wall of texts. I'm currently working and typing this lol

No worries man, no need to be sry for shite. What a story bruv. Heroin is a crippling drug that kills. I am happy to hear you overcame that garbage addiction and turned your addiction into one of the funnest things to do on this planet, fight! Also, I wish you and your son a good life. I hope you hit big so you can show your little man you can come from the very bottom and make it to the top like a King!

Keep in touch @MonstaAJ , I wanna know how your career turns out bruva. Keep hitting the gym, keep fighting, keep that boy fed and healthy! Your a good man bruv. I guess I should say sorry for being overly kind to you. It's just your story made me feel inspired.

I will for sure man. And no need to apologize. Even if I don't make it to one of the big promotions, I've already shown my son no matter how low you get, you can turn your life around and do what you love. He came to my fight before this one and got to get in the cage and put my medal on me and took a picture with me and my coaches. It was one of my favorite moments as a fighter, and dad.

Nice job sir, strangled that mofo pretty quick. How long you been training your ground game ?

I've been training about five years total. I started as a stand up fighter and just wanted to knock everyone out but then got taken down by a big wrestler and dominated in my 3rd fight so I really started focusing on my ground and now I'm dominating people there and even feel more comfortable there.

Good job. I do have that say that yelling is annoying.
What Bjj belt are you?
I'm a blue belt under Anthony lobato but I'm pretty much purple level. If I spent more time in just jiu jitsu, I would be belted higher. My coach got his black belt from Justin Ellison, who is a black belt under Walt bayless.
