Didn't JDS have a torn acl too? Irrelevant. JDS by KO.

If only Cain went silent after the injury only to bust into the octagon after JDS beat Murr and landed a stunner on JDS.

No they both had MCL tears, not ACL.

    ... as a viable excuse?

Fact: Junior also was injured for that fight. He had a torn meniscus and underwent a surgery after the fight....

So all in all, BOTH were hurt.

Cain only has to reach Mir's striking defense level to give JDS 8 minutes of potential elbow feeding time.

i think the first fight is fairly irrelevant. it just told us that if you stand with jds you are in danger. everyone already knew that. if anything it solidified how important cains gameplan needs to be for the rematch

its kind of crazy to say but after all these fights i still feel like we dont really know how good JDS take down defense is and we dont really know how good his ground game is. cain is the only legit wrestler jds has fought and he didnt even get a chance to shoot.

jds might stuff cain and ko him again but imo he hasnt shown us anything inside the ufc that demonstrates it yet

i have cain via better cardio in the rematch

There is no way he tore his ACL. He would have been out over a year. He fought 6 months later, which means he was trainging 4 months afterht he JDS fight.

Since when did Cain blow out his ACL? SOURCE?

I knew he had a knee injury but don't misconstrue an MCL or meniscus injury for a blown ACL. Impact on mobility, surgical management and recovery time are totally different.

I'm not blaming TS but, in light of the facts, I don't trust this news whatsoever until I see confirmation from his physician based on the MR findings and surgical intervention, not some MMA media source that knows nothing about knee injuries and calls everything an "ACL tear".
