Christ! I cringe every time I see Chael speaking now... So embarrassing.
 
Seems like Chael and Jon ended up liking each other more after being on TUF.
 
Chael is an amazing promoter, lol. I have to wonder if they are playing up the buddy thing to have a horribly bad thing happen to their relationship in May, 2013, to cause a grudge match that makes them an additional few millions in April.

Yeah, they've both admitted to it. Though, and my suspicions of this only increased after the first episode of tuf17, I can't help but feel like Chael may be doing it to kinda soften Jones up; after all Jon has said it was more difficult to go for a finish against Rashad because he genuinely liked the guy.

Chael understand many aspect of the game a lot better than most assume, and the mental side of it is no exception.
 
I guess Chael would be the best person to ask about what a juiced up body looks like.

yea unfortunately that quote screams the truth...Im not saying Marquez did juice up, but its sketchy for sure.

That's exactly what he's doing. Does he genuinely like Jon? Probably.. but he is overdoing it because he knows that it's easy to get into Jones head imo (as we've seen with past opponents like Rampage and Rashad).

The only difference is he is softening him up instead of pissing him off.

Chael is no dumbass. He has a degree in sociology and Jon is falling into his trap.

Now, will it work? I don't know. I guess we'll find out in April.

Marquez was working with Angel Heredia. That automatically makes him suspicious. What should also be known is that regardless of Heredia's affiliation with PEDs (which is irrefutable), he is a world class S & C trainer. All of these suspicions take nothing away from Marquez's acheivment as far as I'm concerned, though. He is a wonderful fighter and a warrior, regardless of any PEDs (which, like it or not, are prevalent in all sports where speed, strength and stamina are relevant).
