It is hard to argue against him because he is probably the greatest sports mind in the world but I am not so sure. What do you guys think? Here is his reasoning, it is pretty damn solid:

I don't think Mayweather could destroy anyone in a street fight. In the streets a boxers biggest defence is taken away, his 8oz gloves. Mayweather covers all the time, including his speed it's why up till recently never took damage.

In a boxing match it's Mayweathers fight all day, same for Conor in MMA. Floyds hands are so fragile he'd likely break them in a street fight, but it depends on the circumstances like who else is there, what weapons are there etc.

He also said Conor moved up in weight to face Aldo.

These are some high level reporters.

Floyd Mayweather has one of the worst possible styles for street fights. He has mastered fighting within the ruleset of professional boxing. Anything outside of those rules and he's in a lot of trouble

Skip is an idiot! How the fuck is Floyd going to block kicks to the gut and face and legs etc? In boxing I have Floyd all day. In the street or the cage he gets destroyed......

Thats because skip knows next to nothing about MMA. He refuses to ever acknowledge that its a even a real sport. He'll be eternally stuck in 1993.

Ya when they did a segment about Conor a week or two it was so bad. They obviously knew NOTHING about MMA yet were supposed to be experts on it.

Skip Bayless is old school and likely harbors homophobic thoughts towards men wrestling around with no shirt on.

Smith got it right. It would be hilarious to see how Floyd reacts when he starts getting kicked in the head.

Take out all the rules, the referee and the ring and you'd see Mayweather get destroyed in a straight up fight. Most MMA fighters would beat him.

80% of Floyd's game is hugging. I don't see him winning when clinch work and take downs are allowed. His style is developed perfectly for boxing rules but I don't think it translates to out of the ring fighting.

Oh the guy from the show with nothing but race-baiting. It's funny because when those guys appear on Mike and Mike they back away from their racial witch hunts but when it's just the two of them they have a field day.

Pick him up and drop him on his head. Game over.

Realistically, after 1 minute, Floyd would throw in the towel after taking a few kicks. He is too wealthy to endanger himself with a concussion.

This is the easiest way to shine a light on people that know nothing at all about MMA or combat sports in general. A boxer with no grappling experience against a UFC champ with a good level of grappling is going to get owned.

You give him too much credit, he knows about as much as me or you, or anyone else with half a brain who follows sport... certainly not a genius, and that statement confirms it.

I cant stand Conor, but he's an MMA fighter who knows how to kick, grapple, and I imagine he has a decent understanding of submissions, plenty to sub a pure boxer anyway. So while Floyd would have a decent chance while their standing, the smart money would be on Cloner, or any other pro mma fighter (see Randy vs Toney).

I'd say Skip is being biased in this one.

couldnt watch more than 15 seconds....

what i do know is these arguments are staged meaning they have to appose each other and argue their side. they cant agree, thats not the format

i'm sure both these guys are clueless about mma and grappling but thats besides the point. you could show these guys the first 30 ufc's and teach them the problem with not knowing how to grapple but that doesnt matter because the producer sets the format. the topic is who wins a street fight and their job is to argue about it, not agree

"He'd out everything him" - How stupid can you get....
