Thought you may find it interesting. Had Rener on the radio show this week (yes yes, it's generally right wing propaganda blahblahblah).

I didn't know that the American who choked out the terrorist on the train in France was a BJJ student. Rener talks about it in the interview, and we address some of the "reality self-defense" myths that people try to use against the sporting combat arts.

"Is there anything more 'reality-based' than a terrorist on a train with an AK-47...?"

That's cool. Wish they had talked more about it in the news reports.

What if the bjj guy on the train was one of Rener's online blue belts who has never sparred, has a false sense of his abilities, and ends up getting himself killed?

Not sure how that's relevant to the discussion but yes... that would really suck.

Has anyone got a link to any instructional vids of the clubbing a guy unconscious with his own ak move? Competition footage would also be great.

What if it was a Tae Kwon Do guy? We'd have a train full of dead people. Just saying.

What if the bjj guy had attempted the berimbolo? The whole train would have exploded spontaneously, like a fire in a powder-keg
