[Video] 3x Lumpinee Champion Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke's MMA Fight at ONE FC

As stated above, it doesn't handicap wrestlers because it also gives them a very effective weapon on the ground. It does however make shooting for a TD more risky in the same way throwing certain strikes is risky for strikers being taken down. So in that sense it helps to equalize that aspect of the standing portion and balances things out better IMO.

Yeah, I think it actually favors wrestlers more. It's not that easy to get off counter knees or kicks with any power (and you can already do that anyway against the majority of takedowns under the unified rules), especially when someone is already grabbing your leg/s, and from a front headlock the wrestler can throw knees and obviously also from side control and against the cage when they got their opponent down.
Wrestlers just can't be crawling on all fours trying to grab a leg, but that's pretty much it.
It does make the fight more dynamic, however.

Muay Thai fighters seem to be able to adopt to a number of fight styles like Kickboxing, Boxing and now MMA.
Like to see more MT fighters from Asia in MMA.
