No one would know about it because it would've happened in some rinky -dink organization few have even heard of. None of those guys made their pro debut in the ufc.

Try to understand a topic of discussion beyond a single simple youtube subtitle of a sentence completely taken out of context.

He blatantly and clearly is referring to the lack of skill-set and fundamental knowledge that an amateur has, resulting in them being at a MUCH higher risk of being seriously injured. They lack the skill and experience of defending, and they lack the intelligence and experience of knowing situations in fights to avoid injury to both themselves and others.

If you bother to listen to either of the sentences on either side of the single one you repeat about being punched in the head, it's easily understood what he's saying. "Did this guy ever compete? Did this guy ever get punched in the head? Did this guy ever compete in anything?" (clearly meaning prior legitimate combat sports experience).
He then says "No. Then it's dangerous to put him inside a cage against a professional fighter."

Tell me more about being a hardcore CM Punk fan who's offended by that statement.

You're negating something that has been discussed at length amongst professional boxers for decades.

Regardless of "chin" strength and the physical ability to take a punch, learning HOW to take a punch is a MAJOR facet of combat sports. Plain and simple, if you're not used to getting hit in a live fight, you're typically more stiff and definitely don't know how to roll with a punch and subsequently, it COULD be more likely to kill and is DEFINITELY more likely to injure you.

Point goes to Wanderlei, bub.

He is right, although maybe using Jones' case a little too much to express his own personal grudge?

Also, his cameraman seems to have sniffed a line or two.

Wand didn't turn pro in the UFC. He started as an amateur in minor Brazilian kickboxing tourneys.

Literally everything he said was true. Coming from him may fuzzy things up a bit but he's right. CM punk hasn't had any amateur fights but get a licenses to fight in the premiere mma org of the world??? And commission makes up shit as they go... So yes they need to put protocol in place for everything... Not just when something comes up. The commission is backwards that's Nevada as a stated is corrupt. The whole damn system is out of line!!!!
