i personally think whitakker became overconfident in his ability to beat adesanya, because of the way gastelum did against him. unfortunately, whitakker couldn't realize that he didn't have the skills to do the exact same, until he was in there fighting him lol. maybe that's why kelvin was kind of pissed off during that one interview where he talks about the way whitakker did.
