Very interesting observation about nogi and Tapout

Has anyone else noticed that the Tapout Board shorts and Nogi's are EXACTLY the same shorts? I just got a pair of the white Tapouts, and a guy I train with has the blue Nogi's with the logo down the leg, and we were comparing them; they are the SAME shorts, different colors/logos!
Both are really pretty nice, so I'm not complaining, but I just thought it was funny.
Also, sorry if this is not news to everyone here, and fuck off if you're going to tell me to use the search funtion, I hate that shit *ahem*.

The Tapout's (long shorts) don't have the outside side pockets that the Nogi's do and the material that they are made out of are different. I think the Nogi's have a better fit then the Tapout's as well.

They both have the pocket, and the material is the exact same, I swear. Will double check, but they were very similar, right down to the cuts, stitching, tags, ect. Plus, I checked the stretch factor on the Nogi's cuz I've heard that they are made from "special" matierial, but found no real difference.
Again, both are very nice.

This was on another thread but, we started out getting our shorts through the same manufacturer as TapouT.

I posted a similar threada a while back..the nogis are also similar to HITMAN shorts..

I 'm think the general "cut/design" is owned by a manufacturer and all the companies pick fabrics, logo design and have them made to fit their brand

I love the cut of my tapouts, so that just makes nogi even more attractive to me.

They stretch but not like the lycra or spandex in the Sprawl Flexfighter series. The shorts probably stretch about 3/4 of an inch but I doubt you really need any more. The new material is awesome, it doesn't stick to your sweaty legs and feels nice against the skin.

Tapout, Hitman, and Nogi all used the same manufacturer for their 05 shorts I believe hence the similarities.

i meant manufacturer, do you guys still use the same manufacturer as tapout and hitman? If so what is the diff between your shorts and theirs? because i havnt heard much good stuff about tapout shorts.

Yes, we changed Manufacturers, materials, and soon, some other stuff

Tapout shorts are great, they are just never in stock, that's all.

Can't wait until I get the $$ together to buy a pair of nogis as well.

are you guys still doing the sprawl challange? i got 2 pairs of sprawl and no nogis, i cant decide if i want the new v flex from sprawl or the new OEs from Nogi.
