All Frank has been talking about is his money.. what he is owed.. how he is getting ripped off.. how he has financial problems.. how he is going to leave the UFC.. how he is going to box..

All Gane has been talking about his is preparation.. how he thinks he can beat Ngannou.. how he is ready..

Francis hasn't fought since last March.. Gane fought 3 times last year..

To me, everything is pointing to Gane winning this fight. More active, more skilled, more focused. I was 50/50. Not anymore.

Or because Gane is SHOOK and Ngannou is oozing alpha male chad energy, one of these has a tendency to worry / obsess over one topic than the other.

I doubt it will impact the fight much. Francis is training hard still. The better man will win.

Gane is definitely more hungry right now, but if he wins the UFC will start lowballing him and he’ll be in the exact same boat Ngannou is.

wow good point, still Ngannou by hitting him with Ford Escort going as fast as it can.

Definitely possible. Guy could knock out a horse. But as the fight goes longer and he is outclassed, that chance lessens.

Generally speaking, the better fighter wins, this reading into a fighter's focus, whether they are shook and such nonsense is the exception to the rule. Most likely the better fighter will win against the two regardless of what people perceive from interviews.

Francis has to power to turn anyone into a Pez dispenser though :\ If it gets past round 1, Gane takes it for sure.

While I can't guarantee that Gane wins this with 100% certainty, it's about as close as it gets in MMA.
Gane is better defensively, has just a good of a chin, is undefeated, has better range control, has way better cardio (especially if grappling is involved), way higher output, better technique in his strikes, better diversity of strikes, better submission game, etc.
Plus if you factor in the intangibles that you mentioned such as Francis being distracted with boxing/pay, the inactivity, and the disparity in mental focus, then it becomes really hard to bet against Gane.
But who knows? maybe this will be like the first JDS vs Cain matchup where the right shot just happens to land for Francis, or maybe Gane has a horrible injury and is keeping it quiet. Stranger things have happened.

Francis is simply answering the questions the Media asks him. And the Media is publishing the answers that get the most hits...

His strategy for the fight (KO the guy) is not going to get much attention...

I really hope Francis gets the money he deserves,he is something very very special and he entertains everybody who related to mma

None of what you just talked about affects the fight

On the flip side if frank goes out there and sends someone as talented as Gane to the shadow realm the UFC better just renegotiate that contract and pay up. They have a new age Mike Tyson with a really cool back story. The guy is easily marketable and could be a massive star. Ufc are cheap fucks

I dunno Francis power doesn’t seem to fade much. He rocked Stipe in the third round in their first fight and had him panic wrestling.

It's such a strange fight, because Gane just seems like a better fighter in so many aspects, yet Ngannou still has that power to wreck people. I have no doubt that if this kind of match up was at MW, Gane would breeze with ease. But there's two things that come into play when you have Ngannou's Ford Escort energy.

1) Ngannou has a bigger allowance for error. Gane has to have a perfect fight where Ngannou doesn't. All Ngannou has to do is touch Gane once. And I really don't see Gane pressuring Ngannou in a way that will slow him down either.

2) Ngannou's power gives him a huge mental edge. His opponents have to do way more adjusting and planning, to then be forced to think and second guess their choices during the fight. Looking at the Overeem sequences, you could see by his approach and the way he moved he was worried and apprehensive about engaging with Ngannou's power, making him fight in a way he normally wouldn't.

Gane by all means is technically the "better fighter", but Ngannou still has the high ground here. Like, make a human fight a bear. Bears don't need technique.
