Well it wasnt a serious statement... but the guy had a lot of talent when he was young and even though he went for a kickbox career his main weapons there were still his boxing. And he hits hard, he was the previous record holder on that punch power measuring device before ngannou broke it. Hes likely going to loose , im not debating that, but hes better then his boxing record tells you. He should try to make it trough all the rounds at least, i cant imagine that would be dramatic for his career if he looses that way. And the guy has fought over 100 kickbox matches so stop the braindamage bs talk hes supposed to get from this match. He has more fighting experience then many boxers out there. You think those flying knees he got from ubereem on his head were good for the brains..... ive seen him giving one to some other kickboxer and that guy didnt wake up for the next 20 minutes.

Listen. Anybody who is a boxing casual doesn't know who Usyk is, with exception of some of Europe where he gets some news coverage. If you aren't an unbelievable knockout machine, or haven't been top of the game for years then outside the home country people only know who the HW champs are.

So, to hype up Spong to the public and show his combat sport credentials before the bout should be easy.

People always gather for big boxing bouts but most people learn who they are watching a few days before when the big news outlets push it.
