GSP is overall more of a GOAT because he was a huge star, he carried the nation of Canada on his back and during that time the Canadians were the largest most avid nationality fan base of the UFC. GSP was beloved by all and had the pressure of the organization on his shoulders.

But now it's Usman. If Usman continues his dominance for 4-6 more fights he may be considered the greatest clean UFC Champion ever.

Usman is 33 years old. That's generally the age of prime male athletic ability ending. Hopefully his genetics keep on ticking with high energy, high testosterone and he can keep dominating and gaining greater fandom. GSP fought the best in the world in that time, whether or not their resumes held up in the end doesn’t matter what matters is what happened in the moment. It’s not like he padded his record with 16 guys without a Wikipedia page like Khabib did or anything here. He had two losses both avenged. Defended his title endlessly. Knees are really hard to save once the damage is done. We get young guys on the job site come in with 50 year old knees because they thought kneepads in construction was for babies and they didn't want any kneepad jokes coming their way.

A lot of them operate excavators and forklifts now because the damage is so hard to treat. We even sent a specialist on paid physical therapy leave because he was critical to a project but the therapy center tossed him back saying that was as good as he was going to get.
