Since so many athletes seem to want to take supplements and they always raise the question that they may have been tainted - why doesn't USADA just sell supplements to athletes? That way they could test them before the athletes take them.

That's a good idea in theory (or have a 3rd party USADA approved company sell supplements), but then you run into impartial companies. They might start banning normal supplements that aren't in their products so theirs sell more. It's a good idea though.

to make a analogy, you are basically advocating for state-run whorehouses.

So what?

There seems to be so much "confusion" about what can and can't be taken. It would make it really clear for the athletes that the product is okay to take.

The current system always has some doubt in it. Supplements do often contain things that aren't supposed to be in them.
