How does this work exactly as we came aware that you need to be in the USADA testing pool for four months before being able to fight in the UFC?

How is the MMA world ever going to move on knowing that 14-7 Craig White didn’t get USADA tested for his short notice debut??

This is going to shake the landscape of the sport for years to come.

There should be a permanent USADA exemption for Magny. Dude needs to eat

I guess the same could have been said about Okami back when he fought OSP

Nope.

+ If you have been in the UFC previously and left of your own accord, so retired etc.. 6 months

+ if you left the testing pool for whatever reason and return.. 6 months

+ If you are a new or returning fighter who has previously tested positive in the ufc or any organisation.. 6 months

+ If you are a new or returning fighter and on signing you admit to the use of prohibited substances in teh last 12 months.. 6 months

+ If you left the UFC because you were cut, released etc... 1 month

+ if you have never been in the UFC and are joining for the first time.. 1 month, waived if its a short notice fight

Oh, and its not an Exemption (that makes it sound like they are somehow exempt from testing), its a waiver. A waiver in regards sitting in the testing pool for x amount of time. In this instance the fighter will be in the testing pool for 12 days as opposed to the usual 30 days.

heres a pretty graphic for you to explain it

Because it's a rule only for people that have left the UFC and then returned to the testing pool, not for fighters that have never been in it.

Its a good thing you showed up. I was about to call Ja Rule and ask him to make sense of all this.
