International USA Bombs Yemen, Houthis Launch Failed Attack on Harry S. Truman, Houthis Promise "Escalation to Meet Escalation"

As long as he doesn't do something stupid like trying to bring "democracy" or win "hearts and minds" bullshit I've got no problem with him fucking them up. However do do this half ass shit so it's never ending.

1) children being born into horrendous conditions don't mean the conditions are magically not horrendous. Check the rate of child deaths, disfigurement, and permanent injuries there as well as starvation right this second, then get back here.

2) there was never $50m in condoms for anywhere, nevermind Palestine. It was your Government misreading and misrepresenting data.

Stop getting your talking points from memes.
Of course i'm going to take the word of a lib that hates America and the west , instead of Trump or Musk. That's clean, pristine source.

I understand why people are saying this isn't a war now.

It's just a bit of casual bombing. No big deal. A few dead foreigners, fire up the emojis, all cool.

Bro... you need to learn to speak Magat.

Trump can order 20 new Putin like "Special Operations" to de'terrorist'ify and as long as he does not officially declare War then it is Peace.

Trump can go back in to Afghanistan to de'terrost'ify' the country and as long as he does not declare war the magats here will proclaim he is a POTUS of peace.

After all the same Magats gave both Obama and Biden the same grace and never cited them as war mongers for ongoing conflicts, where 'War' was not officially declared against a country... and instead it was terrorist groups or enemy combatants targeted... didn't they?

Then learn accountability you gutless cry baby, and stop blaming everything on Biden.

Crimea ... Yemen ...

Back when these were just one note punchlines in american comedies.

US fighter jets have carried out a series of air raids across Yemen, killing at least 32 people after President Donald Trump warned the Houthi group not to attack ships passing through the Red Sea.
According to the latest statistics from the Houthi-run Health Ministry, at least 101 have been injured in the US air raids, said Al Jazeera’s Mohammed Al Attab reporting from Sanaa.
The US raids, the most significant military action since Trump’s return to power in January, came after Yemen’s Houthis threatened to resume raids on Israeli-linked ships in the Red Sea over Israel’s blockade on Gaza.
The US attacks, which began on Saturday and continued into the early hours of Sunday, on the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, as well as areas in Saada and al-Bayda killed 32 people and wounded 101, according to the ministry of health.
Earlier, spokesperson for the ministry of health Anis al-Asbahi said that most of the casualties were “children and women”.
The victims in Saada included four children and a woman. According to Yemeni media, US forces also launched attacks in the provinces of Hajjah, Marib, Dhamar, and Taiz.
The Houthi group warned that the strikes “will not pass without response”. The Houthi website slammed what it called “US-British aggression” and Washington’s “criminal brutality”

Trump’s threats

Trump, in a post on social media, promised to “use overwhelming lethal force” and ordered Iran to “immediately” cut its support.
“Your time is up, and your attacks must stop, starting today. If they don’t, hell will rain down upon you like nothing you have ever seen before,” the US president said in a statement on Truth Social, his social media site.
“I have ordered the US military today to launch a decisive and powerful military operation against the Houthi terrorists in Yemen,” he said, adding that Washington “will use overwhelming lethal force until we have achieved our objective”.

US shot down 11 Houthi drones: Official

US aircraft shot down 11 drones fired on Sunday by the Houthis, a US official claimed to Reuters.
The official said that the drones did not come close to the USS Harry S Truman, an aircraft carrier that the Houthis earlier said they had attacked.
The military also tracked a Houthi missile that the official said had failed in flight and splashed down into the sea.
The official added that the US took no action in response to the missile because it was not deemed a threat.

That didn't last long.

I don't actually know why anyone was pretending Trump was anti-war or anything, no US President can afford to be a pacifist, I'm actually kinda glad Trump isn't one.

But his MAGA base must be furious.

wait what the hell happened to "endless wars" ??????

I know it wasnt serious, but that shit dead already?

It was fine when Obama did it.

It was fine when Obama did it.

No, no, you guys were saying it wasn't fine, and that it was a good reason to vote for Trump?

Because, you know, Trump would... well, you know... do fuck all about it.

I'm confused now. I just said it was okay when Obama did it.

Now you are saying I said it wasn't okay?

This whole fucking post sounds like you are drunk. That would be okay. Just tell me you are drunk posting.

LOL

Well if you're pretending you were being genuine, your response to my post made no sense.

I wasn't talking about whether it was fine or right or wrong, I was mocking the classification of what constituted warfare - which has changed dramatically for MAGA types recently.

If you're not one of them, well, good on ya. But there are lot of them lurking.

I've posted my position several times here. Securing worldwide shipping routes is a good use of our military.

BTW - bombing a country is not a war. War is not good. I speak from experience.

When the right was speaking of not getting into anymore wars they were looking at the escalatory actions of the previous administration with Russia and Ukraine. Particularly with NATO and Europeans banging the war drum. Trump is doing an excellent job preventing Europe having another Continental Conflict.

Literally nothing has changed in the Russia-Ukraine situation.

Even the ceasefire around the Black Sea has been brokered before.

What's actually new other than ineffective US appeasement of Russia?

I agree that securing worldwide shipping routes is acceptable, if all damage is kept to a minimum, and am not staunchly anti-war at all. I think it's totally unrealistic to expect any POTUS to keep their hands blood-free. It's never going to happen, but it seemed like a Republican fantasy - or at least an excuse to call everyone else warmongers or whatever.

Now that Trump's in power, nothing has changed. All the wars that pre-existed are still raging. There's also been additional bombing campaigns.

Several major points here.

1) Under Biden we went from, "We aren't giving Ukraine Abrams tanks and putting boots on the ground because those are red lines" to actually putting our tier 1 equipment (Abrams, Bradley's, patriot missiles, jets, etc) in their hands.

And leaders in the EU and NATO like Macron actually rallying for troops on the ground in Ukraine.

2) Trump cut off funding and satellites/targeting/Intel. That is a strong signal that we aren't interested in continuation or escalation.

3) Trump is the person advocating for peace. Was Biden?

Look, these fucking idiots (Europe) have already gotten 2 world wars started. You may think, "no way will that happen again". But I guarantee the guys who started the previous ones never thought it would spiral out of control either.

We had places like Verdun and the Somme because these arrogant pompous fucks thought they could have a jolly little war. We had Normandy, The Bulge, and developed/dropped nuclear weapons because these Europeans can't keep their grubby little hands and noses to themselves.

This is an eastern European, non-NATO, regional conflict over some bullshit. This isn't the last bastion of Democracy being besieged. Europe, for thousands of years has been in some border conflict bullshit. As Americans our duty is to ensure we are not escalating this into a global conflict and bankruptcy ourselves in the process.

So far the Biden admin dragged this out with constant support. We need to end this. Ukraine isn't going to win and Russia isn't going to lose. Trump is going to negotiate a settlement because Europe is impotent.

Get it done sooner rather than later. I'm sick of watching these people get killed.

"These idiots in Europe", lol, none of the people involved in WW1 or WW2 are on the scene.

It isn't the same people making the same mistakes, and the way to prevent WW2 in the first place is generally agreed up: fuck appeasement.

I, too, want the war to end but the issue is, Putin started it, Putin controls it, and Putin doesn't want it to end. That's why he continues to enforce his war.

Backing down and stopping all resistance to Putin's war of aggression isn't a valid option, and it isn't a victory for peace, WTF lol

I thought trump was saying Europe, Canada etc should fight their own battles . Why are we securing a shipping route that helps Europe and not the US? Even JD Vance didn’t want to do this mission because it helped Europe , I’m confused. Lemme know if you need me to post what JD said on the leaked chat

Okay, guy. I understand your position.

Now tell us your solution. Be specific.

You wanna keep turning this meat grinder until Russia quits? History has some lessons for you there.

You want to the US escalate and force Russia out of Ukraine? I hope you are wearing if you type that out.

Also, if you are against "appeasement" as you call it, you are supportive of our president against the Houthi in Yemen, correct?

People say "solution" like they're wanting a definitive answer. If there was a solution, the war would be over already.

Putin wants to prosecute a war against Ukraine, in Ukraine.

Ukraine want to defend their land.

Let's not get into who does or doesn't want to fight, that's an issue for both Russians and Ukrainians and isn't really relevant to the reality of the situation. Russia wants to be the invader, Ukraine wants to defend.

All means of the defence of Ukraine should be given until such point as Russia no longer wants to fight or Ukraine no longer wants to resist.

I'd you think that's evil, I agree. And all of the blame lies at Vladimir Putin's door for this continued evil. As they say, that is war, it's not good, but what else can you do to prevent Putin prosecuting this ridiculous and unjust invasion?
