The Minority Report has come true again.

New crime-prediction software used in Maryland and Pennsylvania, and soon to be rolled out in the nation’s capital too, promises to reduce the homicide rate by predicting which prison parolees are likely to commit murder and therefore receive more stringent supervision.

The software aims to replace the judgments parole officers already make based on a parolee’s criminal record and is currently being used in Baltimore and Philadelphia.

2 things.

1. The Think Tank behind the Minority Report have been on money on several things and this just prove how awesome that movie really is.

2. I don't trust the Software.

Err why not just gas or shoot the prisoners in for homicide already? A lot faster, efficient, and cheaper.

Nonsense. Anyone with any common sense and knowledge of how the world really works knows that banning guns is the most effective way of preventing homicides and violent crimes. Duh.

Considering they're saving every available piece of data on everyone, im sure once they analyze the data of murderers and rapists they will find a lot of common patterns. If ppl start repeating criminal patterns they'll likely be put under surveillance or brought in for questioning.

Historically banning lead paint and leaded fuel has done more to curb violent crime than any other single measure.
