Cain Velasquez is the toughest heavyweight in the world and this fight will not go down like the last one. A flukey punch above the ear got Velasquez off balance in the first fight against Dos Santos paving the way to a first-round victory, but Velasquez is the better fighter.

I expect Velasquez to try and get the takedown early and put Dos Santos in unfamiliar territory for him, but the bread and butter for the ground and pound destroyer Cain. Even if this stays standing Velasquez is highly underrated standing and I believe that he will take care of Dos Santos no matter where goes. Even though I like both guys, Velasquez will dismantle him like he does all his opponents.

These odds are good +175 for Cain Velasquez! Even a small $20 bet gets you $35 profit. Everyone can get hit by a punch like that that messes up your orb of balance but they are rare, and I truly believe Velasquez is the toughest and will reign for a long time.

Prediction: Velasquez TKO round 2 via ground and pound

You could say the same for JDS. Perhaps dos Santos is highly underrated on the ground just because we haven't seen him in his guard. Cigano did say he wants to submit Velasquez.

Anyway, this fight is too close for me to even analyze what will happen.

Look Cain can be more well rounded, but that does not mean he will win the fight. sometimes one trick is all you need to win and if that means stuffing takedowns and punching Cain in the face is what one trick JDS needs then he will probably accomplish this. Most overlooked aspect of this fact is durability. Cain has shown in two of his fights to not be able to sustain much damage (nearly crumbling from taking a kongo punch to the face and the JDS punches). JDS has never even been rocked. Cardio won't take place in this fight because it is going to be another round one or two KO for JDS.
