UFC news: Chi Lewis-Parry suspended four years by USADA (usatoday.com)
good list thank you
@Paul L - do you know anything about this big bastard? Not the greatest of resumes but at 6ft 11in and tipping the scales, seems like a fairly marketable Mexican heavyweight for one of the big promotions to stick on the prelims.
He struggled with a 5'8 natural light/welterweight and didn't look good in either standup or on the ground, questionable cardio too. He's also not 6'11 but more like 6'4 (similar built like Augusto Sakai but a lot less skilled) with a lot of excess fat.
Christ, that's that then!
Not a huge fan as outlined below. This kid from Mexico is decent, he's flabby as hell, but he hits like a truck. He's got that Roy Nelson fat guy power. https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/fighters/198434-jesus-navarrete-el-tanque
Smoldarev is one of those guys who has all the potential in the world, Imagine if he moved to the USA and started training at a top gym 5 years ago, he could have been a legit contender at HW.
props for Smoldarev, gave Elkhan Musaev (now 6-1) a tough lesson in a wrestling heavy performance, moving up to 15-7, looked decent on the feet too but clearly size played a factor, Musaev is too small to implement his grinding style against guys who can wrestle
I've been saying the same thing for years, the guy has all the physical tools.
ONE FC Results today:
Mauro Cerilli moves to 14-4 with a 2nd round TKO of the previously 12-1 Vagabov (seems like he was a proper can-crusher!).
Oumar 'Reug Reug' Kane is now 2-0, he finished Ngalani via 1st round TKO (ground and pound).
Trevor Wallace with another KO at LFA99
Ji Won Kang (5-0) who did an upset against Amir Aliakbari in One Championship
Yeah, I did not see that coming. Big win for him.
Apparently Buchecha will face him in his first MMA fight in one month, that could end pretty ugly for him.
Below is the full card for PFL 3: Heavyweights

PRELIMINARY CARD (ESPN+):

also, a few hours ago Rasulov folded Smoldarev with a bizarre punch
moves up to 21-7, would like to see him and Alikhan Vakhaev fight next
Fucking LOVE that Popov vs. Cunha fight! Winner to the UFC please.
Got my eye on this card for sure. I'm very impressed with Cunha so far, but to see if he can replicate what he usually does against a good Russian fighter is going to be interesting.
Buday (7-1) vs Minda (6-1) for OKTAGON HW title - 1 MAY
Separate names with a comma.
