That was the only extended period of time on the feet. Khabib landed a big shot in round two but took him down like 10 seconds afterward to smash.

If theres chance for Khabib to outstrike Justin, there is chance for Justin to outwrestle Khabib. Faking TD and than dropping blind overhand is not improved boxing.

Don't be surprised if Khabib stands with Gaethje for a lot longer than people think and successfully.

Presumably he will also wrestle, attempt to gas him out with pressure and drag the fight into deep waters.

But he will have a great deal of success on the feet as well. Imo.

Khabib by dominant decision or choke. Gaethje is the fools bet. People want to believe. But they underestimate Khabib and the power he has within him and behind him.

He probably will outstrike Justin if he wins but it will likely be strikes on the ground. Khabib's already said he's going to wrestle Justin.

It's so easy for Justin to KO slow & stiff bums like Vick whose head stays in the middle the whole time. Khabib's bubble head alternates and Justin won't be able to get used to Khabib's speed. KO3.

Won't say that it couldn't happen, but he'd be stupid to try. Gaethje isn't Conor. He isn't going to be nearly as calculated or nearly as fearful of the TD. Risk/reward doesn't make much sense. Take Justin down and make him work his ass off to survive. Then take his soul in the later rounds.

Shocked Khabib made Gaethje gas while just standing and trading. Gaethje looked done in late 1'st round. Tony couldn't make it despite pressuring Justin.

Honestly Gaetgje had the right idea in how to fight Khabib in being mobile and avoiding the single leg entirely but just didnt have the tools to pull it off,

He needed much more of a counter threat to keep Khabib off of him, an opponent who didnt give away easy openings like Tony did.
