This is actually how it works in the real world too, so it's good education. Very similar to how political opponents are eliminated, usually during the primary process.

Gets all info from only one side, great journalism.

Had requirements, failed to meet them. Gets to appeal, but had to wait 15 minutes, then an extra 10 minutes!

Apply the same standards to them as you do to minority 'victims' and it sounds like the same shit from a different mouth

It looks like this is a case of lazy millennials not having their bureaucratic requirements in line. They should be ashamed to call themselves republicans if they can't handle this small amount of administrative burden.
There might be a scandal here, if this group alone was only informed of one required workshop on short notice when others were told of other, earlier options. But, the article is short on facts, so it's unclear if this was the first workshop they missed, or if they skipped over other earlier, and whether the limited options were tied to their last minute registration.
In general, it's a weak scandal at best, and more likely an illustration of entitled millennial laziness more than anything else.
