i dunno. i havent been into even trying the dozens of games i have download as ps* subscriber.

i connect into GTA, Red Dead, No Mans Sky - but never play the in game stuff just walk, drive, fly around the world. its meditative and relaxing

but there hasnt been a game that captured my imagination and desire for immersion. like i used to have in younger years - FF7, Resident evil 2, mirrors edge, donkey kong country.

maybe its me or maybe everything today seems stale and unoriginal in controls, stories, missions, etc.

i know rockstar is the most successful but that follow from point a to point b using minimap and kill 100s of bad guys on the way actually ruins the immersion into the awesome worlds

i tried biomutant. its okay but no desire to commit.

tried nioh 2. too much requirement there.

trying battlefront 2 campaign. ehhhhh. its nothing great.

i recently played superhot and that was enjoyable.

but here are my choices now. what do u think?
  • mass effect 3
  • star wars fallen order
  • yakuza like a dragon
  • control
  • just cause 4
  • days gone
  • sw squadrons
  • detroit

Have you played Mass Effect 1 & 2?

Because if not that trilogy would be a great choice for you, and they released a whole new remaster of it recently. I would def recommend playing all of them in order because your choices carry from game to game

Playing ME1 and ME2 before ME3 is an absolute must.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon is very good and the story and characters will have you hooked, but if you want to start at the beginning, I'd pick Yakuza 0 over it. If you want a more modern version of that type of game, I'd start with Judgment, then Lost Judgment.

Have you tried Subnautica? Fits the bill of meditative and relaxing and just exploring. Otherwise, I'd say Fallen Order and Yakuza are your best bets, former for production quality, latter for originality.

ah yes subnautica looks cool n fun. id play that if it was a free game on regular ps+

im gonna try fallen order bc i liked a lot of the pc games like this in the day

You should play nekopara

why is that? why do u recommend it? i know i can gugle it.

ELDEN RING.

is that out for ps4? its like skyrim

Cyberpunk 2077, Skyrim or Fallout 4
i was looking forward to cp bit then the real bad release happened n it still to thus day runs poorly on ps4 i read.

fallout turns me off the aesthetic.

skyrim id try

Just ME3? Or do you have the other two?

i got the trilogy. i played 1 n 2. both great and immersive. but i heard three was a let down. do u guys think its worth to play?

My guess would be that if you're going to play elden ring you should wait till you have current gen hardware. It's a masterpiece all the way around and the visuals add significantly to its greatness.

Yakuza 0 has one of the worst final missions I have ever played in my life. The dev must have been high and hitting copy and paste or something

I really like SW squadrons played the campaign and lil of the multiplayer. If you want a shorter game to complete it's pretty sweet. Detroit, Control and Days gone also great games with Days Gone being a little longer to complete but driving around zombie pacific was a lot of fun

Yeah, its worth playing. The gameplay is improved from the 2nd game. Be sure to carry over your save.

save was on xbox 360. this is ps4. so i dont think that will work. maybe ill commit to the whole thing. i wish it was nc17 duke nukem style sex nudity stuff lol

Usually I'm finding that the best thing for me is to take a month or two break between single player games. Otherwise I can get burnt out, but after not playing for a while I get the itch to play them again.
