Persian gold coins had an archer on it. When the Spartans were forced to leave, due to Persia paying off Spartan enemies in Greece to attack them, the Spartan commander said something along the lines of "It is 10,000 arrows that force me home."
I tried finding the exact quote, but google is saturated with pages about the movie 300 and the battle of Thermopylae. But yea, they attacked Persia. Then you had Greek mercenaries fight deep into Persia as well. The commander they fought for lost, they were trapped deep into Persian lands, and had to march all the way back to Greece all the while being chased by the Persians and other enemies. And they did make it home.

Both Great Britain and the United States did fight France in WW2. After the french surrendered sotuhern France along France's former colonies would be led by the so called Vichy government. The Vichy government was the de jure government of France, kinda.

You're talking about unit 731? Yes I know of the horrific things the Japanese did during WW2. The Rape of Nanjing is enough to make one be horrified of Japanese atrocities. Many Korean men were used as forced labor in the pacific islands and many of them were massacred when they were sent to attack American positions without real weapons.
If you're thinking I'm trying to spin a narrative of "Japan was pretty good to Korea!" you missed my point. The history of the Japanese occupation of Korea is a very complex one. For all the terrible shit they did, Koreans have to admit that one of the factors they live in the comforts they do now is a result of the Japanese. And most of the terrible shit they did was to other countries they conquered in war. Take into account the condition of the regular Korean peasant before the 1910. Consider that Japanese policies in Korea treated it much like Japanese territory, rather than merely a colony. The colonial policies of Japan were very different from how European powers treated their colonies. They took painstaking effort to try to assimilate Koreans into Japanese culture (including my grandmother who was educated by the Japanese and a woman being educated before then wasn't common). Consider that the Chung, the poster boy for Korean conservatism and man heralded for bringing industrial and economic prosperity to Korea, was educated as an officer in the IJA and took advantage of the agricultural and industrial foundation established by the Japanese in his New Town Movement in the 60s. Many of the officials in post-war Korea's government police worked with the Japanese during the occupation and criticized by pro-Kim Ilsung/pro-Soviet leftists for being collaborators, which is ironic because the "pro-Japanese" rightist South is the one that pushed more for national autonomy after the war and shunned American support before the Korean War.

I didn't say any of the things that benefited Korea was "good" although I guess most people would see standardized education as being "good" (I don't). My point is that the narrative of the Japanese occupation being simplified into "Japan was 100% evil!" is used as a political tool in modern times and there is no care given to the actual study of the history. That's my biggest issue with these narratives; nobody really cares about the history but they spew this rhetoric to push their agenda. In Korea, people start to care a lot more about the occupation when it's voting season, and when politicians try to get more brownie points with voters by engaging in "who hates Japan more" contests. This narrative also blinds people's current political leanings as leftists protest any sort of military cooperation with Japan even though such cooperation is to combat our current, actual enemy, North Korea.

This post will probably be long but it will detail some of the occult teachings of the Nazi party. Everyone knows the Nazi's were ass wild and it was one of the most horrific time periods in human history but there is a deeper and darker side to the story that many might not be aware of.
Helena Blavatsky, above, was the founder of an occultic religion called Theosophy. She wrote several occult books and in one of them, called The Secret Doctrine, she wrote that the lost continent of Atlantis produced a race of super human giants known as Aryans that were supposedly of Persian decent.

A man named Guido von List took Blavatsky's idea and Germanized it, linking the Aryan master race with Germans rather than the Persians that Blavatsky linked them to. During this time period the world saw the rise of what is called spiritualism which taught that the living could contact the dead. This also includes many of the things we see today like palm reading, seances, tarot cards, astrology, etc.

The occultist Blavatsky wrote the history of the Aryans, Von List Germanized the idea, and then a man named Jorg Lanz von Liebenfels, picture above, targeted the Jews as the enemy of the Aryans because they were a "lower race", beast-like, and possibly demonic. Roman wine was grinded without separating the twigs from the grapes, as a result the consistency was almost honey-like after fermentation and the taste was quite sour and bitter, for this reason romans watered their wine heavily and added spices, honey and even lead (they didn't know it was poisonous) to sweeten it.

The Russkies also sported the only two female fighter aces in the history of air combat, Lydia Litvyak (12 kills) and Yekaterina Budanova (11 kills).

Yea, I mean what they did was bad enough, trying to commit genocide, but there is a deeper, darker, stranger side to history.
