Probably one of my best advantages in sparring has been my handspeed.

Whenever I descided to increase the amount of weight for my shoulder raises&presses and bench press I felt somewhat robotic and slow. Didn't have that same twitch.

I felt stronger but I thought the added mass was slowing down my hands. After sparring I was told that I wasn't hitting quite as hard as before :icon_sad: It made sense since I wasn't as explosive letting shots go.

Then a friend of mine suggested I take a 25 lb dumbell and do mid rows, repping intensely till failure. Didn't know what affect this could have so I tried it and repped to 70. After a week my arms started to feal looser and more responsive and eventually I got that twitchy speed back. And now I'm hitting harder with the added strength.

Not sure exactly why I made this thread. Just a heads up I guess:icon_lol: I wanted to share:icon_chee

you need to work on being more explosive with your lifts....can't just go and try to lift the most possible weight all the time.
