So I was channel surfing last night and came across the stupidest thing on WWE. I had to post this just because I think its so hilarious. Especially since guys are spitting up blood after the Undertaker does this "illegal chokehold". God I hate pro wrestling.

I just wonder where the hell the Undertaker saw a gogoplata. That and I wonder what other submissions will work their way into pro wrestling lol

If you don't already realize that there is a significant relationship between pro wrestling and mma when it comes to submissions, especially in Japan, you're pretty out of the loop.

The Undertake is apparently a huge MMA fan, and reportedly said he would fight if he were younger. There's a video of him and Matt Hughes hanging out after the Sherk fight floating around somewhere.

Duh dude, I know. But what I was getting at is that most casual fans of MMA are only familiar with terminology like "armbar, triangle choke, or rear naked choke", a gogoplata is something that people who are a little more submissions savvy know about. I just wonder if things are getting funneled back into pro wrestling due to the popularity of MMA. I mean what are we going to see next, Triple H doing a brabo choke?

The Undertaker is a big enough fan to have gone to UFC and Pride shows when he's not doing the wwf crap. I've heard he's also trained to some extent.

his gogo is bad form, but again he is almost 7 ft tall, taker ftw
 
Taker is an MMA fan. I've seen pics of him hanging out with fighters after the shows, he was shown live on camera at the Lesnar/Mir fight and has even tweaked his character to show it: MMA style gloves, triangle chokes and now the gogo.

I say no big deal. Yes WWE is lame, but don't hate the guy for bringing the gogo to "Sports Entertainment".
