Under what circumstances would UFC scrap women's MMA

my guess is that if it becomes obvious that Rousey v Cyborg isn't gonna happen, they'll get rid of it

do you think fans will keep paying to see a 28-0 Rousey, with all fights ending in seconds

in order for UFC women's division to be profitable wouldn't the money paid by fans, have to be more than what Rousey earns, in her new contract ???

Yes. The more Ronda wins the more people will watch.

They may scrap it if Ronda loses. And retires.

The UFC would scrap WMMA if they thought they were losing money on it.

Cyborg-Rousey is no more important to WMMA than Jones-Cain is to MMA. Both would be great fights. Neither is necessary or likely.

in order to stay in business wouldn't the women's division have to earn more, than what its fighters (mainly Rousey) ,make in their new contracts

aren't fans going to get tired of the fights lasting seconds ???

When it stops being profitable, which it won't.

If I came into power

You really don't think they are making money off of WMMA???

It won't now that it's here.

Can't just lay off a huge number of people for no reason, especially if you're a big company.

It would become public knowledge in no time flat and would provoke every women's right group in the world to storm UFC's doorstep.

They can't prop it up any longer and yoga moms become interested in other stuff.

It's basically like WWE. The chicks used to be somewhat popular 10 years ago like Brock's wife, but then they got old and no one cared anymore or watches woman's wrestling these days

i heard someone saying that most of rondas opponents still have day jobs? ronda will get bored and go to movies fulltime. and they will have nobody else to push as the face of wmma

I think they'll scrap 135 female division when Ronda Rousey retires, and it becomes clear that Cyborg isn't going to make the limit. Don't see them scrapping 115 division as it just opened, and isn't one woman's show.

Rousey just sold 600K+ against Zingano with a garbage undercard. Those types of numbers are driven in large part by casual fans who are tuning in to see Ronda. I don't think her fights ending in seconds will be a problem with most of them, at least not for some time.

I guess if, for some reason, they were all on the same plane and that plane happened to crash, that would just about do it.

I hope that doesn't happen btw.
