First Trailer for UNCHARTED Starring Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg; In Theaters Feb. 18, 2022

(This will be merged with the official thread after a while)

...what.

I have never played the games, but could this be the first 'lets make a movie from a game and actually take it seriously,' mpvie?

Still not a fan of the casting after seeing the trailer, Wahlberg isn't even the worst casting decision it seems, looks like Holland as Nathan is but im fine with being proven wrong when the full movie is out. Ill check it out and try to turn my brain off though as I really like the games.

Looks nice. I just hope the trailer hasn't showed the best action scene of the entire movie. It's so stupid when they do that.

I still don’t get the logic behind the casting. Why do a young Nathan Drake story? Who wants that?

I like Holland but he doesn’t have that rugged look to him that Drake needs. You need an actor that can grow a top tier five o’clock shadow, not a guy that ostensibly can’t even grow facial hair.

Holland is way too young for this role. Nathan is supposed to be a seasoned treasure hunter. Not only is Holland too young he still looks and acts like a kid. Granted I've only seen him in Spiderman but does he even have the ability to play a confident swashbuckling type of character?

Just to don't be ever negative, first the good side

Seems not a B movie kind of shit AND seems to even show attention to the source as costumes/some scenes clearly show... wich is rare as fuck, specially for a videogame

Now the negative, wich is what everybody else will probably say
Does'nt matter how much reasonable may sound on their side wanting to chase young audience... that kid is no Drake

Wish they pulled something like

Not necessary them (specially considering the "Drake guy" is like 20 years older now lol), i'm speaking about kind of casting pick

It could be worse. For the HBO Last of Us series, the main characters from the start dont resemble the

It could be worse. At least TLOU is a series, so hopefully it would be good. The level of detail outside of actors faces match the game.

lol so true.

I'm in. Looks fun. Quit being so pessimistic around here people. God damn.

Doesn't look like it will be assassins creed level of bad.

Holland is all wrong for the role. I love the uncharted series and as another poster mentioned he's no Drake.

I always thought John Krasinski would have made a good Drake.

How can you beat this?

After you watch this fan film you can't possibly be excited for this new film.

All I want is a 2 hour big budget film of this.

Huge fan of the games but this looks like ass. Who thought it would be a good idea to cast Holland and Wahlberg as the two leads?

I think Bruce Campbell would have been a perfect casting for Sully.

He doesn't have a face that will go from a "young" version of someone to an older version of someone. Tom Holland will have the forever 15 year old face that blotchy facial hair or CGI won't be able to age. If this is a start to the "Young Nathan Drake" story, then it will be a "young" franchise for quite awhile.
