He turned into a decision machine point fighter that pulled out of fights all the time once he got to the UFC then got KOd in 7 seconds by McGregor. Ronda's UFC title reign, objectively, was ridiculous. If any dude had been on that championship streak, armbarring guys in the 1st round and snapping their bones in half more than once, he'd be up there too.

Honestly, Jon, GSP, Anderson’s title reigns have all been better and MM has the record. It’s unfortunate, but, Aldo might be #5.

But still, no shot it is outside of the top 5. But I do understand how important Ronda’s was to the grand scheme of things as opposed to Aldo’s. Aldo’s is much more important and meaningful to us, not to casuals or the sport as a whole. Yes, Aldo is a legend and one of the greatest of all time, but, MMA wasn’t changed because of him.

A champion's reign is based on relative dominance over the rest of the division, and Ronda was way more dominant during her UFC reign.

How her division is in the absolute sense doesn't matter, Aldo's contenders would get their asses kicked by run of the mill MW, LHW and HWs too.

Nearly a decade undefeated fighting actual number one contenders with mma skills. Edgar x 2, Mendes x 2, come on.

If he was fighting the guys at chipotle who make his burrito, then his reign would be comparable to Ronda’s.
