In an effort to make up for the potential loss of subscribers due to ESPN+ ...

    Meltzer:
Fight Pass has reached an agreement to broadcast 72 boxing events promoted by Roy Jones Jr. over the next three years. The first will debut on 1/31 with a show from Alpine, CA, headlined by Ahton Palicte vs. Jose Martinez in a WBO junior bantamweight title eliminator. In 2019, Fight Pass plans to stream more than 200 live events, doubling what it streamed in 2018. This will include MMA, boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, BJJ, submission grappling and more. The promotions they have deals with for 2019 are Invicta (all-women’s MMA where they will cover every live show, Invicta is the leading feeder group for UFC women), Cage Warriors (U.K. MMA), CFFC (Northeastern U.S. MMA with C.M. Punk as announcer), Pancrase (Japanese MMA), Island Fights (Florida promotion that does boxing and MMA), Glory kickboxing (some of the best kickboxers in the world), EBI (submission grappling), Polaris (U.K. grappling), Combat Jiu Jitsu (grappling and palm strikes allowed), Quintet (Kazushi Sakuraba’s promotion), Friday Night Muay Thai fights, Bangkok Fights (Muay Thai from Thailand), Muay Thai Grand Prix (Muay Thai rules from Europe), Lethwei (Burnese and Myanmar MMA) among others

According to DW (yes I know) there will be for sure when the new arena opens next to UFC PI.

i wonder if they will be partnering with Roy?

Is the UFC fight library staying on Fight Pass, or will you have the option of watching past fights on ESPN+ as well?

but early on it was said that FP will have the catalogue up until 2018 & I did not hear about who gets what in 2019 (library)

We will know soon with the ESPN cards this month & Feb PPV

If Zuffa boxing happens you think Dana will run both or stick to one?

    Ha
Think about how weird this is ...
UFC sells its own content to ESPN+ because ESPN+ wants to pay them more than it was worth on FP
    Then they pay for Boxing.

Add in Viacom selling content to DAZN for same reasons & it is a weird time for MMA content

Hope not because if you don't live in the USA you wouldn't be able to see them

    WME owns Zuffa LLC

    That is what they bought
Zuffa LLC is the parent company of UFC

Fertitta's are not Zuffa (many think that still)

Interesting times. The irony of the UFC and Zuffa getting into boxing after it was used as a talking point for how MMA was safer and better (no ducking, etc) is not lost on me. Actually irony=hypocracy^^

I have a feeling ESPN probably wishes they got on the UFC train back when Fox did. Now it looks like a bit of a desperation move - which may work, but I know I'm not getting another channel to watch.

    Say no more.

In all seriousness, Pancrase is a fucking awesome promotion, and if you don't watch it on Fightpass, you should start. Just use the "markers" feature to see all the highlights.
