The UFC is refuting a story that appeared on a Brazilian website, Veja.com, that claimed the UFC withheld $6 million from Anderson Silva after he failed his recent drug test: “The financial reports made by Veja.com are not true,” said the UFC.

Your thoughts?

They probably sent the check to Anderson the second they saw the report.

Neither side is backed up with compelling evidence.

I'm agnostic until something substantial is provided.

Are you trying to tell me, that the Brazilian MMA media got something wrong?

I won't believe it, unless you provide some kind of proof.

A comment from any anonymous instagram account will do.

Ya, that did seem a bit extreme.

Only a buffoon writes nonsense like that. These MMA reporters are jackasses.

MMA reporting....breaking news that never happened

Brazilian news outlets are handling this worse than expected.

Wonder if the writers have staph.

You know, usually when you claim something, you have evidence that your claim is true. Until the Brazilian media gives any evidence about the withheld money, the UFC doesn't have to prove shit. Some of the UFC haters on here are ridiculous.

both brazilian mma reporting and ufc reporting is garbage

This should be a fun fight between the UFC haters, they need to balance the ideas of "doesn't pay enough outrage" and "how are they allowed to withhold Anderson's $6 million which we don't believe he gets paid in the first place"

The only thing that should be withheld is his win purse ($200k).
Everything else is money he is owed.

The UFC is obligated to pay the fighters right after the fight. It could be they only pay their show money and wait for all tests to be clear to pay them the rest but that would be a pain in the ass for everyone involved
